Sarah Jerasa is an Assistant Professor of Literacy at Clemson University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Houston in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. As a former elementary classroom teacher, her research interests focus on teacher identity as writers, equitable literacy access, and the reading and writing connection in classrooms. Sarah has served as a National Writing Project fellow, and professional development writing coach for Writers in the Schools in Houston, TX. Her most recent research revolves exploring digital literacy practices within social media platforms particularly within TikTok. Her scholarship has been featured in the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, NCTE's Talking Points Journal, TEACHING Exceptional Children, and the Journal of Literacy Innovation.
