The Reading Collection Tutorial
My ELED 3320 Children's Literature course, my students are expected to select and read 30 books. As teachers, we know that we are always on the look out for great books to recommend to match students or use for instruction. I developed The Reading Collection Database, a Microsoft List that students can use to search and find appropriate texts to use. As students read one of their selected books, they complete a simple form that will be added to the larger database. This tutorial shows students how to access The Reading Collection Database and complete the form for submission.

This video based tutorial showed my students how to access the course materials I use. I had to use video editing and screencast video recording. I can see this being a very useful tool for future classes I teach.
Biggest challenge included knowing what to say and how to demonstrate that in the tutorial.
